About Kate - Nashville Therapist
Hey, there. I’m Kate!
My hope for our time together is that we can move through your inner ecosystem and reconnect to ways of being that support your growth and inner-peace. Through mindfully exploring life’s challenges with an open heart and mind, I believe you can rediscover the path to your liveliness, contentedness and well-being that you are seeking.
I utilize an Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) lens, which allows us to identify parts of your self that currently contribute to any imbalance you are experiencing and revitalize these parts through healing and connection.
Many individuals struggle with ADHD in adulthood, often feeling shame, overwhelm, and difficulty completing daily tasks. I offer a tailored approach to each client who experiences these difficulties by assessing several factors and helping them create a viable, supportive plan better suited to their needs.
My relational work with couples includes supporting LGBTQIA+ couples, exploring attachment styles, working with couples struggling to overcome infidelity, as well as offering supportive exploration of non-monogamy. Finding common ground with your partner is essential to your relationship’s vitality and we can work together on building effective communication.
Another area of specialization is harm reduction, including Psychedelic Harm Reduction and Integration (PHRI). Abstinence-based approaches may not be the best method of treatment for individuals who do not suffer from addiction but are seeking to make sustainable, healthy changes to their lifestyle. Humans are autonomous beings and, when given proper information and support, we can make the best decisions for ourselves.
I also have a particular interest in working with men and other individuals who were unfortunately taught to disguise, block, and disregard their emotions. Emotionally connecting is a human need and without it, we experience suffering. Creating a space for you to explore your emotions without judgment in a supportive environment is my priority.
I look forward to connecting with you!

To me, mindfulness is that moment of connection to the entirety of being and feeling your place within it. Mindfulness begins with simple awareness and can blossom into an entire way of being within the world. It is a practice that is gentle, honors you as a whole person, and accepts exactly where you are and who you are.

The well-being of all living creatures is particularly important to me and I do my best to exist in a way that recognizes this truth. I have played music my entire life and can't imagine myself without that connection! Psychedelic-assisted therapy is particularly intriguing to me as well, and I am excited to see where it takes us. I also love to crochet, as it helps me access my creativity and I find it therapeutic.
