About Elizabeth

Please note: Elizabeth currently offers only virtual therapy sessions.

Elizabeth has been a fully licensed psychotherapist in Nashville since 2016.  She earned her Master's degree in Counseling from Trevecca University in 2013, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Western Kentucky University in 2006.

Through her career, she has honed specialization in relationship / attachment issues, complex trauma, recovery from high control religions, exploring spirituality, and narcissism / enmeshment in relationships.  She has particularly worked with womxn who are contemplating escaping abusive relationships, actively escaping, or are on the road to recovery from narcissistic abuse.

In recent years, Elizabeth has developed a deeper interest in examining macro systems of power and control (white supremacy, colonialism, ableism, oppression of the LGBTQIA+ community, and general oppression of marginalized groups of humxns, animals, and the earth), and how they mirror abusive relationship dynamics.

Elizabeth feels that looking at macro abusive issues is crucial to healing the deepest root cause of enmeshed, narcissistic, trauma-based relationship dynamics.

Now, she blends science-backed methods such as attachment science, parts work, and Somatic Experiencing®, with earth-based modalities, feminist history, and reconnection with land and lineage to heal the deepest root cause of trauma-based relationship patterns.

Outside of her clinical work, Elizabeth has led retreats for womxn to heal from complex trauma by exploring their "witchy" self.  She has a particular passion for earth-based medicine and Sacred Feminine pathways to healing.

Most importantly, she is obsessed with cats, hiking, and crafts.  One of her favorite things – aside from WhatsApp rants with her bestie – is having early morning coffee on the porch in the woods with her brilliant, hilarious, artistic husband, Garrett, of 12 years.  Living as an interabled couple, Elizabeth and Garrett have become staunch advocates for disability rights.

Favorite shows include Cobra Kai, Wednesday, The Office, True Blood, The Golden Girls, and Stranger Things.

Elizabeth has published articles in local and global publications, and she recently co-authored an Amazon Bestselling book entitled Dreaming with Bees: Sacred Medicine from Beyond the Veil of Grief.
