About Ryan
Who I am
I’m a therapist specializing in adult and adolescent psychotherapy. I have the privilege of supporting individuals across a broad spectrum of clinical concerns. I work especially well with those navigating life transitions—whether in their teens, twenties, or seventies—and bring a down-to-earth, authentic, and warm approach to the therapeutic process. Clients often describe me as genuine, supportive, open-minded, and direct. I prioritize connection and clarity, helping people build healthier relationships with themselves and others while working toward meaningful and lasting change.
My Approach
I view therapy as both a science and an art—an active, collaborative process where we explore our inner world, navigate challenges, and work toward aligning our lives with our values. My approach is grounded in evidence-based modalities like ACT, CBT, DBT, and mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques. My clinical philosophy is depth-oriented, existential, and relational. I work alongside clients to uncover the deeper sources of meaning in their lives and to nurture new empowering perspectives on their emotional worlds, all in support of living with greater clarity, purpose, and alignment with their most cherished values. I also support clients in recognizing patterns, developing insights, and discovering new ways to understand themselves that promote growth, resilience, and vitality. My work emphasizes building therapeutic relationships that deepen clients' sense of aliveness and improve their ability to see themselves and others more clearly. My goal in treatment is to cultivate therapeutic relationships that are equally effective as they are meaningful and authentic.
Areas of Focus
I specialize in treating the following areas:
- Anxiety and depressive disorders
- Life transitions and identity development
- Emotional and physical intimacy concerns
- Attachment dynamics, communication issues, and boundary-setting
- Challenges related to creativity and the arts
- Perfectionism, stress management, and burnout
- Maladaptive coping and behavior change
- Substance Use
Additionally, I work closely with referring providers to ensure integrative care and to support a holistic understanding of your needs.
What to Expect
My goal is to establish a safe, genuine, and empowering therapeutic relationship. I want to create an environment where you feel comfortable sharing and processing personal stories that may have been previously unspoken or concealed. Whether we are addressing long-standing struggles or current-moment challenges, I provide an attentive presence and a collaborative space to explore your story. Together, we can support your growth and strengthen your sense of self.
Fees & Accessibility
I offer a sliding scale model for those with financial limitations—therapy should be accessible, and I don’t want cost to be the reason you don’t get support. Superbills are available for out-of-network insurance reimbursement.
